YORKSHIRE LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP RUNNERS-UP

In a hard thought final, our Ladies B Team finished Runners-Up from a starting field of 47 teams in the Yorkshire Ladies B Team Championship at Leeds GC.

After qualifying for the finals day, we beat Whitby in the Semi-Final and then played Wath in the afternoon’s final match.

The match was a hard-fought affair and at 3-3 from the first six games, the final game was a nail-biter, going down to the final hole. We were so close, but congratulations have to be given a great group of ladies from Wath who emerged victorious.

Lady Captain Alison Kelly said “I’m so proud to have been the Captain of this talented and determined group of players who have an amazing team spirit.

From all the Team, we’d like to say a huge thanks to the caddies and supporters who kept us going. We couldn’t have got through the day without you.

After winning the tournament in 2021, you can bet we’ll be back to have another go next year!”
