QUARTER FINAL AGONY FOR CLECKHEATON

Our fantastic Ladies Team made the long journey to Glenbervie Golf Club in Scotland to play in the Quarter Final of the Annodata National Matchplay Competition.

Having progressed through six previous rounds, the quarter final was a well fought match and ended in a draw 2.5-2.5, so was decided by a play-off hole.

Sadly, our run came to an end, unfortunately losing the play-off hole! It was the first time the team had needed a play-off having won most of their previous rounds in convincing fashion.

As a club, we’d like to say thank you to all the ladies that played in the seven matches. The club is very proud of your golf and the way you conducted yourselves in such a sporting manner at each of the matches.

The team were well supported by an amazing group of caddies and supporters during each round and a big thank you must go to you for your time and support for the team.

If there was a prize for team spirit Cleckheaton Ladies would win it hands down
