CAPTAIN'S REPORT

A big thank you to the 25–30 members who came along for our recent divot-filling evening, your support really makes a difference and helps keep the course in great shape.

The season has got off to a promising start for our teams. The 1st Team secured a win in their opening match away to Bradford Moor and the 8–15s have had a win and a draw so far.

The Annodata team also progressed to the next round after a great win over local rivals South Bradford last Saturday and the Ladies section have had an indifferent start with the various teams winning two and losing two whilst the Rabbits drew their first game.

Our Lady Captain would like to express her thanks to the 7-day members who took part in Lady Captain’s Day on 10th May. Thanks to your generosity, an amazing £1000 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support. An outstanding effort from everyone involved and thank you.

Congratulations go to Harry Mollett and Freddie Paver, who proudly represented Bradford Juniors at Cleckheaton last Sunday. A fantastic achievement and honour for both of them.

Well done also to all our competition winners so far. Some excellent scores have been posted, especially impressive given how challenging the course is playing in these dry conditions.

Just a quick reminder about Captain’s Night on Saturday, 14th June, starting at 7:30 PM. The evening will feature great food and fantastic entertainment from the band Jukebox Idols and looked after by a DJ set to keep you dancing all night. Hope to see you there.

Finally, a warm welcome to all the new members who’ve joined us recently. We hope you thoroughly enjoy your time at Cleckheaton—one of the friendliest clubs around, with a fantastic course to match!
